Hi, my name is Javahir

Originally from Baku, Azerbaijan I am an amateur chef and a big fan of discovering food cultures around the globe. I moved to Australia when I was 17, and cooking was the best way for me to stay in touch with my roots. Currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark - safe to say the food capital of the world I have been inspired by so many talented chefs to take my passion further.

In my blog, you will find recipes from home that remind me of my childhood, new recipes I’ve learned while moving around and traveling, and everything in between.

Cooking for me is the most creative form of art, where you can engage all your senses. What excites me the most is endless possibilities to combine different ingredients, new ways of making traditional recipes and so many types of foods you never tasted or known until you stumble upon a blog, little cafe, or try something at a dinner party. I hope to inspire you to try new things and be more brave and adventurous in your kitchen.
